The Board of Trustees is the highest governing body of the Uriach Foundation and is responsible for the direction and administration of the institution, ensuring that it fulfills its objectives and the purposes established in its statutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Joaquim Uriach i Torell\u00f3<\/strong> joined the group in 1993, after gaining experience at firms such as Jufresa-Martell Abogados Asociados and Holco Trading Company (Mann Group). From 1993 to 2003, he served as Head of Uriach\u2019s Legal Department, later becoming General Secretary, and in 2012 he assumed the Presidency of the Group, a position he held until 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His relationship with the Uriach Foundation was always highly significant, particularly through his outstanding work as its Secretary from 1997 to 2024, when he handed over the role to Trustee Javier Navarro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a Law degree from the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (1988) and an MBA from ESADE (1994), he further expanded his training with studies in International Law at the London Polytechnic School (1987) and a General Management Program (PDG) at IESE (2004).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great lover of music, since 2022 he has chaired the Associaci\u00f3 Orfe\u00f3 Catal\u00e0 and the Fundaci\u00f3 Orfe\u00f3 Catal\u00e0\u2013Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana. He is also a Trustee of the Fundaci\u00f3 Pau Casals, a benefactor of the Liceu, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cercle del Liceu and the Board of Trustees of the Fundaci\u00f3 Vict\u00f2ria dels \u00c0ngels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Marta Uriach i Torell\u00f3<\/strong> graduated in Interior Design from IADE University in 1983 and worked as an interior designer at Estudios Sa\u00f1es from 1984 to 1988. That same year, she decided to launch her own interior design studio, which she ran until 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1992, she furthered her training by completing the Senior Executive Program (SEP) at ESADE\/BABSON College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently a member of the Family Owners Council and has also served in the past as a member of the Uriach Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marta Uriach is deeply committed to various associations that seek to make a positive impact on society. For this reason, she serves as a Trustee of the Vila Casas Foundation and the MACBA Foundation. In addition, she is an active supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Javier Uriach i Torell\u00f3<\/strong> joined the group in 1988. First at the chemical plant (Urquima, Sant Fost de Campsentelles) and later as Head of the group\u2019s Industrial Division. He was a member of the Uriach Board of Directors from 2001 to 2012 and served as Chairman of Urquima from 2001 to 2021. Between 2006 and 2012, he was also Executive Chairman of the Uriach Family Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2011 to 2019, he took on responsibility for the Uriach Foundation, which he successfully consolidated and developed through the acquisition of some of the library\u2019s treasures, the relaunch of the journal Farmacia, Medicina e Historia, and the creation of the corporate museum Uriach Gallery, among other initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After studying Veterinary Medicine in Zaragoza, Javier Uriach i Torell\u00f3 graduated in Business Administration in 1988. He later expanded his training in taxation and tax consultancy at ESINE and, in 1993, completed the General Management Program at IESE.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Juan Uriach i Torell\u00f3<\/strong>, fifth generation of the Uriach family, joined the company in 1986 as Director of the Purchasing Department and Head of Production, positions he held until 1997. Later, between 2001 and 2009, he served as a member of the Group\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona in 1983 and worked in the Department of Galenics at the same faculty until 1984. From then until 1986, he worked at Laboratorios Leti (Caracas, Venezuela), the pharmaceutical company Squibb (New Jersey, USA), and SmithKline & Beecham (Philadelphia, USA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1991, he earned a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona for the galenic development of Tranilast, a new antiasthmatic active ingredient, and in 1992 he completed the General Management Program (PDG) at IESE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside his experience at Uriach, he was also a partner and President of the biotech company Salupharma.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Enrique Uriach i Torell\u00f3<\/strong>, a member of the fifth generation of the Uriach family, worked in the group for nearly 25 years between 1991 and 2015. From 2006 to 2012, he served as Executive Chairman and CEO of the company, a period in which the strategic reorientation toward Consumer Healthcare was launched. Previously, he held various positions within the organization (Finance, Commercial, Corporate Services, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is currently Chairman of the Family Owners\u2019 Council and a member of the company\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of education, he studied Business Administration at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona. He later completed a Master\u2019s in Auditing and the General Management Program (PDG) at IESE. Between 1988 and 1991, he worked as a financial consultant at PwC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2013, Enrique Uriach has also chaired Urilaria, the holding company for the Uriach family\u2019s Family Office activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Julia Uriach Dasca<\/strong> \n \ngraduated in Biotechnology from IQS and completed a master\u2019s degree in Genetics of Human Disease at University College London (UCL). During her studies, she worked in several research laboratories, exploring areas such as circadian rhythms, multiple sclerosis and ageing. After graduating, she briefly collaborated with the Centre d\u2019Estudis Avan\u00e7ats de Blanes on ecology projects linked to the Natura 2000 network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Zurich, where she researches glioblastoma at the University Hospital Zurich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Committed to human rights and education, Julia has devoted almost 15 years of her life to working as a tutor and teacher in different organisations and countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Juan Antonio Uriach<\/strong> is part of the sixth generation of the Uriach family. He holds degrees in Tourism and in Business Administration and Management, and began his professional career in the hotel sector, where he gained experience in management and business development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He later broadened his experience in the private equity sector, participating in investment analysis and assessment, due diligence processes and company valuation. During this period, he developed expertise in financial analysis, business strategy and investment management, gaining a solid understanding of the corporate environment and financial markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He subsequently shifted his professional career towards the real estate sector, specialising in investment, management and the development of real estate assets. After consolidating his experience in this field, he created an asset-holding company mainly focused on investment in and management of real estate assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His profile stands out for its strong strategic and investment-oriented vision, combining analytical skills, market knowledge and a focus on long-term value creation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alicia Espriu Calder\u00f3n<\/strong> is a distinguished professional in the field of marketing, with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and consumer goods markets. She specializes in strategic marketing, branding, product innovation, and business development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With broad experience in the sector, having held various positions as Marketing and Brand Manager at companies such as Omega Pharma (Perrigo), Vanity Fair, Roca, and Indo, she joined Uriach in 2016. Since then, her career has shown continuous growth, and she currently serves as Chief Growth Officer and is a member of the company\u2019s Executive Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alicia Espriu earned a degree in Business Administration and furthered her studies at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona with a postgraduate degree in Advertising and Communication. She completed the Executive Master in Marketing and Sales at ESADE and expanded her training with the Management Development Program (PDD) at IESE.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer and member of the company’s Executive Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zina Safer<\/strong> has extensive training and experience in the world of corporate law, and specializes in international law and the health industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since starting off in 2015 at Nestl\u00e9 Spain, she has held positions in the legal departments of companies such as Danone and Menarini. Her specialization in the health industry was consolidated by joining Uriach in 2019 as Legal & Compliance Director. Her professionalism and leadership have since then led her to become a member of the company’s Executive Committee. During this period, she has managed to combine teaching and professional, and is currently a professor in EAE’s Master’s degree in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zina Safer graduated in Law from the Universit\u00e9 Paris V Descartes, later studied at the Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo and completed a Master’s degree in International Law at ESADE Business & Law School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oriol Segarra <\/strong>is the Managing Director and CEO of Uriach since 2012. As the person most responsible for defining and executing Uriach’s strategy, he has spearheaded the company’s transformation over the last decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has developed his career in the healthcare and consumer goods sector, holding positions such as Finance & HR & IT Director, followed by Managing Director at Synthon Hispania, Chief Operations Officer, member of the Executive Committee and global operations lead at the Synthon headquarters in the Netherlands, as well as previously serving as Financial Controller and Director at Menarini and Lu Biscuits (Danone).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He carried out his training, which revolves around management, in several business schools such as ESADE, IESE, Harvard, Stanford, IMD and Singularity University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His passion and expertise lie in leadership, not only implementing it in his day-to-day work but also researching and sharing about the topic as a speaker, lecturer and professor at a number of universities and business schools. He is also the author of several books, the latest being\u00a0La evoluci\u00f3n del liderazgo peregrino<\/em>, published by Libros de Cabecera, in which he describes in part his experience at Uriach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
