Dr. Manuel Corach\u00e1n (1881\u20131942) was a distinguished Spanish surgeon and a pioneer in modern surgical techniques. Trained in Barcelona, he directed the Hospital Cl\u00ednic and published important studies on abdominal surgery. His dedication to teaching and research made him a key figure in Spanish medicine during the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n

The work \u201cThe Library of Dr. Corach\u00e1n\u201d<\/em> is a catalogue that brings together the books of Dr. Manuel Corach\u00e1n, stemming from the donation made to the Abbey of Montserrat by his daughter, Herm\u00ednia Corach\u00e1n, in the year 2000.<\/p>\n\n

The creation of this catalogue was made possible thanks to the participation of Dr. Jos\u00e9 Danon Bretos, who was responsible for the historical section, and Ms. M.\u00aa \u00c0ngels Rius, author of the cataloguing section. The work was published in 2015 thanks to the collaboration between the Uriach Foundation and the Abbey of Montserrat.<\/p>\n\n
