We deeply regret the loss of Dr. Jacint Corbella i Corbella (1937–2025), physician, professor, and a key figure in the history of medicine, as well as a distinguished collaborator of the Uriach Foundation since its creation. He served as a jury member in numerous editions of the History of Medicine Prize, from 1970 to 2013, and contributed with such relevant publications as Historia de la Facultad de Medicina de Barcelona: 1843–1985, published by the Foundation in 1996.
Beyond his outstanding work as a physician, Dr. Jacint Corbella’s career was extensive, standing out for his role in the university sphere, in the professional academic world, as the author of a wide-ranging bibliography, still a reference in our country, and as a promoter of medical knowledge through his direction of journals such as Gimbernat.
