On April 8, we were honored to receive Mrs. Josefa Roig, daughter of Mr. Alfred Roig Segarra, who donated to the Uriach Foundation several objects that had belonged to her father and therefore form part of Uriach’s history.
Since joining Uriach in 1925, at just 14 years of age, Mr. Alfred Roig gradually became a cornerstone of the company, especially for his decisive role in the creation in 1945 and subsequent development of Biohorm, the company established to distribute Uriach’s products. Under his leadership, the advertising department was also developed, soon becoming one of the most modern and important in the country. In addition to his work in these departments, he also took part in numerous Foundation activities, even serving as a jury member for the “Medicine and History” prize. His dedication and love for the company led him to retire after more than 50 years of service, making him one of the company’s longest-serving collaborators.
