Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the Uriach Foundation inaugurated the exhibition “Women at Uriach” to highlight the contributions women have made throughout the company’s 185 year history. The exhibition is divided into two sections: the first is dedicated to the women of the Uriach family, from Josefa Uriach Vallés, wife of the founder, to the sixth generation; the second focuses on the company’s female collaborators, from the 1920s to the present day.
Accompanying the exhibition is a piece from the opera La Euda de Uriac, written by Amadeu Vives and Àngel Guimerà, which tells a love story starring a strong woman determined to fight for her goals.
