Continuing with the exhibition cycle, on November 11, 2024, the Uriach Foundation inaugurated the exhibition “Uriach on Fire: The Great Fire of 1889.”
The exhibition focuses on the major fire that struck Uriach at the end of the 19th century, a catastrophe that took place in the company’s warehouses located on the ground floor of the Gothic palace known as Palau Dalmases, an iconic building situated at 20 Montcada Street, in the historic center of Barcelona.
This devastating fire, which nearly destroyed the company, caused a profound impact on society at the time due to its brutality and the extensive damage it inflicted.
