
Foundational Aims
Our foundational aims articulate our main purpose and the core objectives of our organization. A statement that defines our reason for being and serves as a guide for all our activities and decisions.

Since its creation in 1988, the Uriach Foundation has become a benchmark in the dissemination of the history of the health sciences, the benefits of nutraceuticals and natural health, as well as the historical and artistic heritage of the Uriach company.

Founder of the Uriach Foundation
1. To preserve and disseminate knowledge of the history of the health sciences. Among other actions, to conserve, enrich, and manage the Foundation’s own Library of the History of Health Sciences.
2. To preserve, enrich, manage, and disseminate the industrial, cultural, and artistic heritage of the Uriach company from its origins to the present.
3. To promote, disseminate, and foster knowledge of natural health products, particularly nutraceuticals, as well as the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through activities linked to the educational, professional, and social fields.
These aims are carried out through a variety of activities:
- Management of bibliographic and archival heritage.
- Acquisition of bibliographic heritage.
- Uriach Chair of Nutraceuticals.
- Awarding of academic and professional scholarships.
- Organization of conferences on nutraceuticals.
- Presentation of prizes for the best Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
- Installation of physical and digital exhibitions.
- Hosting of events on the history of the health sciences.
- Development of activities related to natural health.
- Production of educational videos.
- Publication of scientific studies.
- Editing of books.
- Participation in conferences and congresses.
