As part of the activities of the Uriach Chair in Nutraceuticals, during the month of February, professionals from different Uriach departments took part in the course “Functional Foods” within the official Master’s in Nutrition and Metabolism (URV-UB), aimed at students from the Faculties of Chemistry in Mallorca and Tarragona.
During these sessions, students gain first-hand, highly practical insight into how the strategy for an innovative product is conceived and developed, following all the necessary stages through to its market launch. Key areas covered include: innovation (led by Alba Domínguez and Anna Fortuny), product development (led by Elena Quintanilla), project management processes (led by Marta Castiñeira), regulatory affairs (led by Marta Graupera), and quality control (led by Cristina Espada).
These classes are not only essential for the Master’s students, but they also reinforce the Uriach brand as a benchmark in the field of natural products and highlight the work of the Uriach Foundation as the entity responsible for the Chair.
